3 vets and 1 veternarian in my family. 1 marine (Served in vietnam & currently inand out of Afghanistan), 1 army (served in Korean war), 1 Navy ( didn't do shit)
Edit: I forgot about my ancestors that were in the civil war, too many to name and any way I think they're all dead now |
One of my great Grandfathers fought in WWI. Both of my Grandfathers served and fought in WWII. My Dad was in the Air Force. My brother was in the Army. I never served due to a genetic hearing loss.
There is no higher calling than putting yourself in harms way to help keep your fellow countrymen safe. |

And also thanks to Applebee's for the free meals today... we're taking about 20 homeless veterans to get a free meal this evening. |
One of the coolest sets of things I have is:
My Grandfather's WWI dress jacket (1918-1919) My Father's Korean War dress jacket and (1950-52) My own dress jacket (1984-1999) I have them hanging in my closet next to each other with their insigna and brass on them. Need to do something to have them professionally preserved one of these days. |
