As long as they keep the Anti-Gun rhetoric out of it.

BigCatDaddy 01-31-2013 01:22 PM

I'm sure they are all actors since Sandy Hook never existed

My thought exactly.

listopencil 01-31-2013 02:00 PM

Is the Super Bowl going to be a gun free zone so the kids are safe?

Boom.

Off to DC.

I'm sure Bob Costas will find a way.

ModSocks 01-31-2013 02:19 PM

I think everyone of those kids should be armed.

Jerm 01-31-2013 02:21 PM

Hope this is being done for the right reasons...

No shit. What a joke. I mean, really? We need to put these kids on the biggest stage in the world for what? To tell them "thanks for not being killed", and "your special because you didn't take a bullet" Kids are exposed to tragedy everyday, and in numerous ways. Exploiting their tragedy shouldn't be the Families "reward"

CoMoChief 01-31-2013 02:30 PM

more BS mainstream media propaganda.

You had better check for a collapsible stock or a pistol grip on that starting gun.

KCUnited 01-31-2013 02:38 PM

AR 15 minutes of fame really what these kids need right now?

Mr. Flopnuts 01-31-2013 02:39 PM

Mr. Flopnuts 01-31-2013 02:39 PM

In all sincerity, I think there is zero chance that this is being done for anything other than marketing. As chitown said, what's the story for the children? A bunch of your classmates were murdered, so we're going to put you on TV? This really should backfire on them badly, and the only reason it won't is because, ironically, they're using those kids as human shields.

siberian khatru 01-31-2013 02:48 PM

Add me to the :shake: list.

When I was six or seven years old, this was my favorite team:

It wasn't until later in the 70's that I became a Bronco fan.

I agree sadly...

Sure. It would be the experience of a life time for some of them. How pumped would you have been if you got to travel and sing at the SB with your elementary school while 80K give you a louder oviation then anything you'll hear during the game?

As a kid, it probably would be cool. As the parent, there is no ****ing way I would let my kid do that. No interviews, no questions, NO HALFTIME SHOW.

I can see that viewpoint, but as parent when I'm thinking what is better for my child I see no problem with them doing the show. The only things they might be asked are stuff like who is your favorite player in the game? I doubt they ask them about their views on gun laws.

Frankly, even if I liked it I wouldn't watch it. Children's singing voices are unpleasantly screechy and shrill.

CrazyPhuD 01-31-2013 04:09 PM

Are the kids going to be singing a selection of holy songs?

CrazyPhuD 01-31-2013 04:10 PM

Seriously though...while good for giving the kids something special...this is seriously ****ed up exploitation too. The adults involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Send them to a free trip the Superbowl and to meet the players if they wish? Maybe if its done privately.

Otherwise the aforementioned.

What about those that lost there kids, do they really need those wounds opened up already? Crazy, crazy
