The biggest play of the Browns game.
The score is 20-17.
The Browns have the football at the Chiefs 36 with 11:04 left. It is 1st and 10.
They run a dive play and McGahee trundles through a hole for a 9-yard gain.
But wait! There's some laundry on the field. The Browns are flagged for holding. The 9-yard gain is wiped out, making it 1st and 20. Justin Houston gets a sack on the next play, Eric Berry stuffs the running back on the play after that, and the Browns eventually punt.
All because of one little holding call drawn by Mike DeVito, who had inside position on Joe ****ing Thomas, of all linemen, due to his incredible strength and leverage.
If DeVito doesn't get inside on Joe Thomas and hold his ground, the Browns are going to at least tie the game with a field goal attempt from the 27. Maybe they take the lead by throwing in Sean Smith's direction, etc. Who knows how our offense would have responded, how Alex Smith would have freaked out by the sight of a team scoring 24 points.
Nope, not today. All because of one man.
Mike DeVito. Savior of the Kansas City Chiefs. Honor him.
