I could see him going to San Diego too.

The thing about SD and Detroit is that he'd ultimately end up being the #1 both places...

I would hate to see him in San Diego.

Ill say this, would you rather Jackson or Hillis backing up Charles? Jackson would be ok on a 1 or 2 year deal.

Jackson has played 9 seasons in the NFL and averaged 4.1 YPC last year. He turns 30 in July.

That average isn't going up folks.

Jackson has been consistently good while Hillis was a flash in the pan so that's an easy one.

I'm suprised that Fisher has not run him into the ground yet.

He's only had him for 1 year.

Jackson isn't going to be a backup.

He'll go somewhere with the idea of having a "competition" and then he'll win the job.

That might be why SJ wanted to void the last year of his contract. He saw what happened to Eddie George and decided he wanted to be able to walk after he retired.

More than likely. :D

Poor guy is used up.
Played his butt off for a few years

he's been a great RB in the NFL. Too bad he used up all his talent for a shit team. We have JC, just need a backup for him.

He's nothing special man.

Except the Rams organization did something right for once. In the extension SJ signed a few years back, if he met a certain milestone(can't remember what it was), he'd have the option of opting out.

He didn't meet the milestone. They renegotiated his contract to give him the option to explore his value if he wants to for his production as well as his impact in the community.

Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Curtis Martin, Emmitt Smith, and LaDainian Tomlinson are the other RBs to have ran for 1,000 yards for 8 consecutive seasons.

Jackson also joined that group this season. All of those RBs are HoFers(LT will be in). So I guess SJ isn't special then?
