I will be very surprised if Tyler Bray doesn't come out after this year. With a new HC and a new offensive system. Big risk to return.

cyborgtable 11-24-2012 01:45 PM

Geno, he has all the tools, his only issue is that he presses to much IMO but with a good team that wouldn't be a problem

JoeyChuckles 11-24-2012 02:24 PM

The real question is how many more times I will have to answer this question over the next five months.

chiefzilla1501 11-24-2012 02:27 PM

Geno. Then draft Glennon or Jordan Rodgers if at the right value.

I want to go all in. Get your blue chip qb and develop a lower round rookie on the side.

I know I'm in the minority but I'd take the best available player and get one of these guys in the second round. I might trade down and try to get an extra pick and take one of them along with a corner or OLineman or Dlineman.

Realistically we have nothing positive to talk about until the draft. Before too long it will be a slam dunk who it is. You're taking the easy way out.

Interesting.

What do you think the odds are that he'll fall to somewhere in the 3rd round ala Ryan Mallett? He'd make a great backup for awhile. He needs the time, anyway.

ClevelandBronco 11-24-2012 05:01 PM

I couldn't find a decent defensive tackle in the bunch, so I went with the first quarterback on the list.

I would like to see Stanzi get a chance to be the backup with a new coaching staff. I think he showed more potential in the preseason of his rookie year than this year but if you look at a lot of our players production with this coaching, it leaves me with more than a few questions on certain players on our team.

Although I am all about adding 2 QB's in this draft just to double our chances regardless.

Threads like this are ****ing stupid.

Shit changes big time every ****ing year from November to February.

And Manti Te'o is a third rounder. Anyone that takes him in the first or even early second will lose their job the following year because they're ****ing stupid.

The guy is Rey Maualuga lite. Mel Kiper, once again, is a ****ing dumbass.

oldman 11-25-2012 10:07 AM

I see nothing wrong with picking 2. Geno or Wilson in the 1st and maybe a Glennon or Manuel in the 3rd, if they're available. If not, take a 7th round flyer on Rodgers. Rodgers may even slip to a FA. Quinn probably won't be back and I don't ever want to see Cassel on the field again.

Mel Kiper has a lot of company in calling Teo a top ten draft pick.

Teo probably will be but he is being overhyped. I understand it he is a playmaker on the undefeated ND team that is going to be in the National Championship game.
Dane is going a little to far with the 3rd round and getting fired stuff. But Teo should be a middle to late first round IMO.

Has Teo not shown that he has many of the skills that have made Ray Lewis great? I'm not saying he is going to be an epic NFL linebacker like Lewis has proven to be because he still has to prove it at the next level, but to this point he looks similar. Lewis would have never fallen to where he did in the draft if he would have had the size of Teo coming out.

I guess I don't understand what you don't see.

It's not the player, it's his position. MLB's are one of the lowest valued positions. Morons take low value positions with high picks. Then they go 1-15 and have to hightail it back to Boston in shame.

Patrick Willis was picked at number 11. I'm pretty sure the 9ers are happy with their pick and he didn't have near the college career that Teo does.

I have to assume that he means that QB is FAR more important to the team than a MLB.

The one you missed.

Just because Tom Brady was drafted 199 doesn't make it a good spot to grab your QB.

Look what happens when you take an MLB that high. King Carl took DJ, got fired. This year Carolina took Keuchly, GM got fired.

Who was arguing the Chiefs don't draft a QB in round 1?

Carl drafted DJ as an outside linebacker and he was the 15th pick. That pick had nothing to do with him getting fired. Carolina took Cam #1 overall and then took Keuchly the next year. Keuchly has been playing well and Newton's poor play this season had more to do with the GM getting fired than any pick made in this years draft.

Your point is a giant bucket full of fail.
