But this is absurd. What has Josh McDaniels ever shown you that gives you the impression he'd be a more successful coach than Todd Haley?
Is it the multiple taping scandals? Is it the way he leveraged a draft for Tim Tebow? Is it the way he handled Marshall and Cutler? Is it being run out of Denver after less than two seasons at the helm with a losing record? Is it the amazing work he's doing with the Rams right now?
I'm sorry, Todd Haley may not have been a great (perhaps even a good) head coach. I happen to think he got the shaft here, and would have loved to see him stick out his contract in KC. But, still, what does McDaniels so obviously offer? What am I missing?

I think fans forget that it is more about 'fit' than just coaching talent. McDaniels is a good fit here. We see coaches have success, the go to another team and fail. We also see coaches fail and then succeed the second time.
Some of it is the coaches learning from their experience. But, some of it is just finding a better fit.
Pioli and the head coach have to be a team. You might as well bring in a guy that is on the same page as Pioli.
I would rather see a guy like Fisher or Cowher. But, I think Haley acted like a Toddler and McDaniels would be better.
We will see what happens.
