Do you support "the banner"?
Clearly there is a lot of energy around the banner, but I generally understand the criticisms that have been posted from others around teh internets. Anyway, the pollster in me is curious to know how many actual detractors we have (and I don't necessarily mean to imply that's a bad thing).
Anyway, intentionally anonymous poll to follow. |

David Banner?
|
if you don't support it, you're an asshole
|
I don't disagree with it. But I personally think it's a waste of money. It won't change anything. An empty Arrowhead in the 2nd half of games is far more impactful.
|
I'm public on my support on this idea.

I think it's a great idea if it's followed up with a call to action of some kind. It's a great attention-grabber, but ultimately a waste of money if you don't try to do anything constructive once you have their attention.
|
For what it's worth, I'm mainly just curious to see if we have a silent minority around here who don't really like it. I know message boards sometimes get wrapped up in a bit of groupthink (though I personally do support the banner).
|
hell yes!
**** those people on the news that said it's not a good idea. 40 yr old women think Cassel and Pioli are awesome. |
I equate it with being at a game when I was happy with the team and screaming my guts out in their support, leaving with a hoarse voice feeling like I contributed to the effort.
Now I am pissed and tired of the BS and feel like this is this is something I actually contributed to that will voice my displeasure in a way that will be noticed. |
Its pretty shitty and I dont like winning.
|
What, no DEB ALL CAPS option?

I understand the need for it, and I like the fact that it brings attention to the situation we're in as fans...
But...eh. Kind of lame. |
I think it will ultimately be just as effective as the walkout of the Royals game organized several years ago by Kevin Keitzman.
|
It's pretty cool. I'm on board
|
I'm on board with it.
Plus, this kind of thing is more effective when it gets media run, which it has. Pioli has to be shitting his diaper over the thought of it, especially considering what an apparent control freak he is when it comes to his image. |
The fans need some kind of voice.
|
Yes. I support anything that will rid us of Cassel and Pioli.
|
Seriously, I live in Boston dude. You guys are way too easy. Now these damn people are so used to winning a championship in every single sport every other year, they're so arrogant, I'm jealous.

I think the idea is solid, but the media hype has honestly hurt it. With the media hype there is no need for the banner itself, word is out. I think it would have been better as a surprise with the media coming after. Now when Pioli, Clark, the front office, and all those that matter, well, they know, and won't care.

Did Truman support nuking the Japanese?

I support it, mostly.
Getting sick of reading about it every 2 seconds on FB though. |

Did Captain Picard support the entire Starfleet pounding the shit out of the Borg Cube with Quantum Torpedoes in First Contact?

I think it could be worded better. It should have a message that's passionate in love for the team but demanding Pioli be fired. Cassel is just one aspect of a problem with many facets, which is all Pioli. Cassel, whether its now or after a handful more games, has punched his own ticket out of the starter's job. Pioli is what we have to push for. Something like "Save Our Chiefs! Fire Pioli!"
But, the heart is in the right place. I'm on board. |
I think the next one should be "DAMNIT CARL!!!!"
|
Did Indiana Jones support The Ark of the Covenant melting Nazis at the end of Raiders?

Did Chiefsplanet support the first banning of GoChiefs?

Good idea for sure . you say nothing , you get what u deserve .
|
Vocal fan displeasure can eventually demand change. Thus, the banner is a fantastic idea.

Yup

i think something had to be done.
it would've been nice if Pioli had gotten a real QB and benched Cassel w/o a distraction. therefore He and Cassel need to GTFO. |

The fans are going to demand change, and Clark's will need to act out of fear for his wallet, which is his first passion. |

If Cassel isn't turning the ball over and the Chiefs are winning/competitive the stadium won't be emptying. The banner is a good idea, just handled the wrong way. This may be like Haley yelling at Cassel last year. Every time he did Cassel seemed to play better. ****... wouldn't that suck. I will blame you all if he does. |

I thought it was kind of tacky at first. After reading the reasoning, how strongly people feel, and how much it seems to have brought this community of posters together, I will help out as much as I can, although I cannot afford to do so monetarily.

Fans DEMAND that ownership puts a great product on the field, court, rink, etc. There's no pussy-footing around and certainly no one like Deb. (For the record, I don't condone insulting an old woman that's clearly out of her element). |
How do you explain the Clippers, then?

IMO, not only are people saying they won't spend money on the game, they're saying they'd rather spend that money on something such as this. I think it's makes a statement. |
I like the spirit of it. I think it could have impact, we'll just have to wait & see.
I would rather PRC put a billboard together, to me that will help too. And I would like Wendler to design the graphics and text, pretty much all of it. But that's just me. |
