Is this the second or third time on the same shoulder?

Did he seriously spell the name of his team/employer wrong in the hashtag?

I was dead wrong about Smith's upside.

Dude can ball IF the conditions are right. And we should definitely do all we can to make that so.

That said, no, I think Fish needs to be tossed to the bottom of the heap and forced to earn any spot he's got due to performance and performance only...

yea but Kelce is big and fast, he's a mismatch nightmare, can't catch or block but he's got the speed thing that Duck Dynasty and Fasano lack big time. Alex loves himself a fast TE.

Sounds like a white delanie walker. But Walker could block his ass off.

Have you ever typed Chiefs with a bum collarbone?

I think not!

bust

Wouldn't count on either. Add impact offensive receiver and tight end this offseason. Retool the oline. Add another pass rusher and back up NT to give Poe a break. Need to add another good safety and add to our secondary.

Dude is stacked. He's built more like a piano lifter than he is a piano player.

Well, they have him running a 4.41 40 at the combine, 5th fastest DB there.

Kelces big upside is being a good blocker who generates power through his lower body. If for nothing else he'll bump duck McGrath out for this reason alone. McGrath is ****ing horrible at blocking.

He's mentioned here as the best tight end taken as far as blocking goes.

mcaj22 says Kelce is big and fast but not a good blocker. Dune says his big strength is that he's a good blocker.

We need a REAL TE on this team, in a bad way. We can't depend on a myth and prayer.

seaofred 01-09-2014 08:10 AM

You can't count on either one, because they were both rookies that didn't get to play due to injuries. So you don't know what you have in either one.

Exactly both are unproven but should be competitive with what we have/bring in based on upside. In scouting reports kelce is noted as athletic, a good blocker, and there is no knock on his hands. But in chiefs preseason he had some get by him. And what I've seen in sanders scouting reports makes me think if this guy hasn't been hurt this year he'd be our Fs next year for sure. Who's currently competing for the spot demps, Abdullah, commings, and technically Lewis? At tight end it's Fasano with the lock on te1 then between kelce and duck McGrath for two. Didn't we start the season carrying two active tight ends? Or was there three?

yea it took Walker 2-3 offseasons to master the blocking

I read he put a lot of time in though, hopefully the same for Kelce.

you can judge for yourself.

i don't think they ever drafted him to play much inline blocking (Fasano). He's most of the time standing. and what do you call the 3:00 mark? Slow? I call that something no TE on this roster could do this season. Yea it's in college, but he's faster than what we got.

FringeNC 01-09-2014 10:52 AM

Didn't realize how serious microfracture surgery was. Googled it. It's not a given that Kelce will ever be 100%. Some guys do, others don't.
