Whomever is in charge of Malware cleaning

Google is getting ready to black list you, I don't get it everytime but you need to go to google webmaster tools to see whats up.

That's not hosted here. It's just a linked image in a thread somewhere.

I personally am not worried about the malware itself but google does not know this and will black list you and scare off people coming here

Na, they'll blacklist the site that it's coming from - not CP.

This topic comes up about once every 2-3 months it seems. There's nothing we can do about it aside from making people attach images instead of linking them.

Sorry - you don't know what you're talking about. Thanks for trying though.

In case you are curious, the issue here is that there isn't anything on ChiefsPlanet's server. You'll note in the page you posted that the message doesn't say that CP hosts malware - it says that the page contains content from another site (malwaresite.org) that is known to distribute malware. Also note that the message you posted doesn't say they're letting ChiefsPlanet know that there's an issue; it says they're letting malwaresite.org know. Again, that's because CP isn't the issue.

In other words, the scan you posted wouldn't find anything because the content in question isn't on ChiefsPlanet's server - it's on another site that is just linked in.

If you know the specific thread that message popped up on, we can go in and delete the individual image that's causing the issue, but it's really not a big deal.

That is 100% correct.... If it's not a problem then why did Google throw it up at me when I came here?

To let you know there's a POTENTIAL concern, obviously. Windows pops up a message warning you when you install a program, but that doesn't mean that every application is going to eat your brain - only that you should be careful.

Again, if you want to link where the message appeared, I can ditch the image. But the reality is, you're not going to get any kind of a virus from a linked JPG.

Google webmaster tools will tell you where it is at sometimes... It's bad for business to have a big dumb red banner come up saying you do business with a site that hosts Malware though.

Anyhoo have fun and handle it the way you see fit.

Eh, don't care enough to dig for it. It's probably one post out of the 3-4k that get posted here in a given day. Chances are it'll be buried and never seen again pretty shortly.

Clearly, anyone who wants to start a successful sports message board should listen to you.
