i remember seeing the number and it was ridiculous. |
Their body of work should count more than where they were drafted. Good Lord, what a reach.
Proof is in the pudding and the numbers don't lie. Quinn, at this point in time has a WORSE QB Rating than Croyle. That is fact. The fact that he is a first rounder should give you, your first clue, that the Browns wanted him to succeed and gave him chances to succeed. Nothing wrong with supporting a player, but some of you are so desperate for a QB, you're not looking at the facts. |

The fact is, 1st rd QBs are given more than a season to prove their worth. Look at Eli Manning's first 2 seasons. Awful. |

Great, you like him and see him as the franchise QB of the future. When they play like dogshit and have a worse QB rating than Croyle, I'm not hitching my wagon to that. You choose to, fine by me, I'm just trying to point out some facts hoping some of it will hit home with a few reasonable thinkers. |

Look at how many sacks the quarterbacks that played after and before him for Houston took. Your comment was similar to saying the 2008 Patriots line was bad because Cassel got sacked like 50 times. |

That Browns team had a ****ed situation when they took Quinn.
Derek Anderson had a good year while they let Quinn sit and learn and DA had a chance to have another one and I think splitting first team reps with Quinn in 08 hurt both players. More proof that you must be decisive in the NFL...no half steppin. Derek Anderson should have continued to be the unquestioned starter and got every single snap in practice with the 1s. Instead, they split snaps and neither guy was ready and the progress that team was making got flushed down the toilet. Quinn only had one game that he played well for Cleveland and it happened after having a completely ineffective previous game and after his good game (can't remember who the opponent was) he laid an egg the next week. Iirc he has two sub 100 yard games with a 250 game in the middle. |

When he is under pressure, Cassel stops looking downfield and watches the rush. |

It's going to be hilarious when people realize that Cassel is the best QB on the team. It's going to be pretty depressing but I'll get a chuckle or two out of it.

Why is it funny? Because Matt is the less shitty out of 3 shitty QBs? |

WORSE QB RATING than Brodie "out of the league" Croyle. That is fact, no matter how much spin and the wishful want it otherwise. |
Quote:
I'm not going to jump on Stanzi's or Quinns dick just because Cassel sucks and yeah, I think it's hilarious that people are doing just that when neither of them have done shit and pretty much aren't expected to do shit by anyone other than their CP fan bases. |

Ravens - 13 for 31 for 99 yards and 2 INTs. Lions - 21 for 33 for 304 yards and 4 TDs. Bengals - 15 for 34 for 100 yards and a rushing TD. Chargers - 25 for 45 for 271 yards and 3 TDs. The Ravens defense is ****ing tough.....especially back then....and that was his first start after 6 game span of sitting on the bench. So his bad game in that stretch was against the Bengals.....who won the AFC North that year. |

I'm sick of watching him play. |

Quinn has done nothing for 5 years and I don't expect him to start producing now. All the coaching staffs he's been through thought he was a backup quarterback and I'm not inclined to think otherwise. Especially since the best QB he's had to beat out was Kyle Orton. If he wasn't exceptionally better than Orton then I don't see what all the hoopla is about. |

You guys are just arguing to argue. I dont think Quinn will amount to a pile of shit. I was glad that we didnt draft him. I said as much 5 yrs ago. I'm arguing this because I HOPE he can beat out Cassel. Hope. Thats why I'm pulling for him. If I thought for one ****ing second that Pioli would allow Stanzi start, I'd be pulling for him instead. |

Players get a tryout, then get offered a contract based on that tryout. Poe isnt under contract right now. |

Oh...and two different head coaches picked Tebow over Quinn because there was no realistic chance that Quinn was going to beat out Tebow for that starting job. Matt Cassel wouldn't have beat out Tebow for that starting job.
|
Quote:
According to that, he was never offered a contract. |

I'm pulling for Quinn. If Quinn succeeds and becomes our franchise QB, then the city of Cleveland will burn to the ground. That is a future that I want to live in.

I know someone pointed to Quinn's Lions and Chargers game stats. Has Cassel ever shown he can do that in any game? Cassel has always had a lot more to work with than Quinn did too.
You are a complete idiot if you think Quinn doesn't have the talent and hasn't shown flashes. |

Cassel has proven to KC Fans he sucks, Quinn Hasn't had the chance yet. |
