You would.

The Chiefs won't.

We only get Alex Smith for 1/8.5

Clark is a pussy...he doesn't want a QB so we are NEVER going to draft one in the first

Geno spoke well. Mooch drew a play on the board, explained it, and erased it. Probably 7-8 minutes later asked Geno to draw the play. He got most of it but had to have Mooch remind him of the pulling guard and the z-back (Jerry Rice) going out.

He looked stumped a couple times there. Rough outing that time for sure. Will be interesting to see what happens during the Gruden stuff.

I'm not saying it was horrible. I'm not running around talking about locking the thread and saying he is suddenly taken down a notch based off a 5 minute clip. But it wasn't his best stuff.

Just FYI but he was suggesting closing the thread because of the Alex Smith rumor, not Geno's interview.

The amount of time between Mooch drawing up the play and asking Geno to draw it was brutal and especially with the questions asked in between. What's the choice drug on campus? Hit'em between the eyes with that. I thought Geno should have done better drawing up the play though.

To me, what I think Mooch was looking for with the drug question was what spurs Geno on and what he brings to a team.

I would've said something along the lines of, "my drug is working hard and leading and inspiring my teammates to achieve the absolute highest level possible in an effort to be the greatest team possible, as long as I'm able to bring that kind of thing to my team, then I believe anything is possible", or something to that extent.

The way Mooch said it was fairly tricky.

No, he was trying to bait Geno into admitting he was a drug user...

Knock the QBs all you want, Geno Smith must go No. 1 to KC (even if he backs up Alex Smith) and Arizona must take Matt Barkley at No. 7.

Andy Reid: Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Luke Joeckel? Now try this: McNabb, Vick, Geno Smith.

It's clearly a question mostly designed to get a reaction.

No one is going to answer that question with "COCAINE."

Geno's reaction was a little scary. He looked a LITTLE BIT guilty.

Race doesn't have anything to do with it (see Ryan Mallett) but yes, it was a way for Mooch to gauge who Geno's friends are.

Yeah, he had that look in his eye like he had pulled a few bong hits in his day.

Hammock Parties 02-24-2013 08:45 PM

Geno comes off as slightly naive in these things, that's my only concern.

He doesn't have Barkley's presence. Geno seems to want to be way too cautious with his answers.

It's minor but it bugs me a little. But better this than JaMarcus Russell traits.

Geno did fine on the answer but the idea of the question was to throw Geno off the play. It did. I'm not sure I remember Mooch doing that before in one of these segments. Now we get to see Geno with Gruden. Fun stuff since we have the first pick.

Breaking News:

I am now officially on the draft Geno bandwagon. I've been thoroughly impressed with his athleticism at the combine, his demeanor, how he works with the media. I think the guy has a great skillset, he seems very coachable, and I like the way he represents himself as well as how he presents himself.

I wasn't a Nassib fan either, but I think his draft stock has improved on my board as well.

I think if we end up landing Alex Smith for a 4th or even a 3rd, we still draft Geno. I feel like it is an even better sign that we'll draft Geno IF we trade for Alex, because I feel like that is Reid's way of getting a stop gap in here so we can truly invest in Geno.

Geno's reaction was a little scary. He looked a LITTLE BIT guilty.

IMO he showed that Geno probably smokes pot.

He didnt know what to say when Mooch asked him about drug of choice...as you said, he looked a little guilty.

Like BANG BANG BANG ITS THE COPS OPEN UP kinda look on his face.

Then, a few minutes later he showed that Geno has poor short term memory.

For me, that's another + for Geno...but John Dorsey and Reid might not see it that way...
