Any Top Gear watchers

I seriously love this show, balls out car talk with British humor.

Just saw the Audi R8 review and my jaw about dropped when Jeremy characterized it's handling as 'like slathering honey in Kiera Knightly.'

Richard Hammond's nearly fatal 280+ mph blowout

Love this show. Even the jabs at us Americans get forgotten quick when you see them drive a Koenigsegg CCX.

And the challenges they do are hilarious.

I love this show. Did you see the one where they went from Florida to New Orleans in the ol crappy cars they had only $1k to spend on them?

Whoever came up with that idea must hate the hosts. I laughed my ass off. :)

Big fan.

I found out about them just about the time they reviewd the Ariel Atom, and then went out of my way to watch all of the back episodes.

Yes it's awesome...hopefully they NEVER EVER make a US version because it will be crap compared to the original.

HMc 05-29-2008 03:02 AM

Yeah i'm surprised fox or someone hasn't gone out of their way to make a completely shithouse US version

Last I heard, Jay Leno turned down the opportunity and it's currently in Adam Corolla's hands.

They did, and it was craptastic.

BTW, I love the show, but I only download the British versions. They cut out all the good stuff on BBC America. Been a fan since Tiff Needle was hosting.

Yup, I also hear that the networks were afraid they would upset sponsors as well, so instead of getting how people really feel about the car we would end up with a 60 minute infomercial about why the car of the week was the greatest car ever.

It cracks me up when they pick up a bunch of old beaters and drive around, don't know why, just does.

Do tell, I've been watching on BBCA, how much am I missing and where best to pick it up.

From my experience, BBC America cuts things at random just because of time constraints.

JBucc 05-29-2008 10:51 AM

Love this show, can't wait for the new season. I think they're going to Japan.

Yup, rumor has it they are going to give the new Nissan GT-R a race against the bullet train. Ugly car, but I'd love to give one a run.
