Quote:

Former NFL running back Larry Johnson was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada this morning for domestic violence ... TMZ has learned.

According to Clark County Jail records, Johnson has been accused of strangling someone. It's unclear who the alleged victim is.

Johnson -- who once signed a $45 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs -- is being held until he can see a judge tomorrow morning.

32-year-old Johnson has been arrested 4 other times since 2003 -- each time he was accused of assaulting a woman.

In 2008, he was sued for allegedly spitting on a woman in a nightclub. He paid $100k to settle that case.

In 2011, LJ was sued for allegedly beating up a man in Miami Beach.

Story developing ...

Unless they’ve got some strange laws, one would have to assume its his girlfriend.

That's not a drinking problem. That's a "he's a massive dumbass asshole problem", which alcohol only magnifies.

You know that Penn State stopped playing "Sweet Caroline" at games because of the verse "Touching Me...Touching You" !!! LOL

I guess to be politically correct they should have just changed songs from "Sweet Caroline" to "Sweet Child'O'Mine"

gblowfish 10-05-2012 02:25 PM

I think people who still wear #27 jerseys to Chiefs games aren't really big fans of LJ, they're big fans of domestic violence.

Does it make me a bad person that when I saw the headline on CBS "L. Johnson arrested for domestic abuse", that I thought to myself.. "I hope that is Larry Johnson.. Let that be LJ"..

Wonder if it will be a felony? That would be interesting....

This guy had $45 million and every break you can imagine in life, and he is going to end up doing hard time at some point, even if he gets off on this one like he did the others,

A regrettable existence.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but I feel really sorry for his father who appears to be a really good guy.

His father gives him every opportunity imaginable and he repays him by growing up into a juvenile punk-ass bitch.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has issues with his father of some kind. It could be that he got rich and fell in with the wrong crowd, but there could be something else. "Boy with great fathering ending up as complete duck up who serially abuses women" doesn't seem like the most likely scenario, I agree.

It was a sad waste of talent. He had back-to-back 1,700 yard seasons, and he was on his way to a great career. But he threw it all away because of his shitty attitude and lack of self control. He has nobody to blame but himself.

I think it was more the tremendous O-line than his "talent". Im pretty sure Mike Cloud could have put up 1700 yards behind that line.

Nah, LJ's talent was legit. At his best he was amazing. His running style didn't lend to a long career though. He delivered (and took) punishment.

He's a shitty person, and obviously hasn't changed... but he did have great talent. One of these days, he'll grow up... and the regrets will hit him hard.

Everybody matures at some point don't they? Even if it's at like, 50?

We'd hope so, but unfortunately, some people just won't grow up at all.

He won't live that long. I foresee some girl's cousin ass capping him within a couple of years at most.

What KCMizzou said.

It's a shame really. Dude had all world running talent in his prime. Far more talented than Priest honestly.

But talent in the NFL only gets you so far.....

Oh, and Mike Cloud was one of the reasons LJ was drafted. Dude sucked in 2002.
