WTF? He just told SOC to raise $8 million and then give it to Clark to acquire FA's to improve the team. He is dead to me.

spot on... It doesn't matter WHEN Pioli is fired right now because the season's already in the tank. However, Clark needs to take his time finding the new GM and hopefully get it right this time.

That's the thing. If he hires a GM today, he has that much longer to evaluate existing resources and get his scout team ready to go. Why wait? Is there anything of value that Pioli provides day-to-day right now?
