I remembe when 360 and PS3 came out; games were $60 because of 'demand' and lack of games at that time.
yeah; I'd bet Games go to $75.

I hope you are right. I honestly don't know for sure, I just based my price off of what I saw Amazon charging for games. I hope they go down since $100 is way too much for a game.

Most I'd pay for one of those systems at release is $500 and even then I don't think I'd do it. Looks like I'll be waiting until Spring or Summer '14 to pick one up.

if it crests the $399 window after the demand settles down, I'll just take the money and invest in a gaming computer for once. never dont it, but for that kind of money ($500+) I suspect you could get a pretty good gaming rig.

Pretty good? Nah.

You could build a bottom line gaming rig for around $500 that would only last maybe 2 years.

Games were not 60 because of demand. They saw a reason to raise prices as a new tech out. It stuck. The wii stayed cheaper. Well there is no new disc tech they are using. It better stay the same or get cheaper. Same with digital copies, there should be no reason why they are the same price.

It is why I don't buy a lot of games at 60dollars. Not worth it for the bugs and bad coding at launches.

False. I have had my gaming rig since 06. You just cant play everything at max graphics.

If people would stop feeding the console beast we would all be better off.

besides you can always upgrade components individually to fit your needs.

often it's just the video card

it's only when you have to go new mobo that it often gets too expensive

And you'll just end up bottlenecking your computer because at $500 you are looking at the bottom range of intel chips or maybe even going AMD.

yea you're right. most gamers are 12-25 years old and couldn't afford it. I doubt a parent would fork that kind of cash over for their kid.
