Good for both.

Richardson has 300is carries and has 3 over 15 yards. He's not nearly as explosive as everyone thought

This is a good investment for the Browns.

This is a team that has a pretty good DT rotation, a little passrushing talent, some great OL pieces and basically nothing else.

This is going to speed up their rebuilding process. The key is, can they actually strike gold.

And the Survey says.................NO!

:doh!: the look on Brown's fans at next years draft-then :banghead:

Not with Lombardi. Chud and Norv know QB's and running backs, too.

O.city 09-18-2013 04:56 PM

They ended up with Richardson and weeden, when they could have had tannehill and Doug Martin

Buck 09-18-2013 04:56 PM

What the ****? Indy Instacontender.

He's behind a J-V o-line with a bunch of shitty receivers blocking downfield for him. His "fullback" is a converted RB who is smaller than he is.
oh and BRANDON WEEDEN

dude is a beast and will go HAM in indy

Wish I could take credit for the pic, but it was posted on Arrowhead Prides twitter and I loved it!

Now Richardson and luck are free agents at the same time, added to Indus spending spree this offseason, they're extremely win now

CaliforniaChief 09-18-2013 04:57 PM

You'll have to forgive Browns fans if they're skeptical of it all, but in theory it's a good move.

Maybe In 2014, when they have a left tackle

Something that adds value to the Colts that some may not be considering is that the Browns are eating his signing bonus and it's cap figure.

In other words, the Colts will get Richardson for the next 3 years and only his base salary will count against the cap.

1.32 mil
2.25 mil
3.18 mil

Folks - that's a damn cheap runningback. Lynch was cheap because he was on the last year of his deal and the Hawks would have to pay to extend him.

Maybe you think Richardson's overrated, but he's still probably no worse than an average starting RB and he does have some potential to improve. To get that guy at a total cost of about $6 million over the next 3 seasons is pretty damn nice.

I think Richardson has the ability to be a very good RB still. I could be wrong, obviously, but he's shown good hands at times, good burst at times and great power at times. He needs to put the three together, to be sure, but that's better than simply lacking any of those skills.

It's funny that Dane mentions Lynch because Marshawn had the exact same rap that many are now putting on Richardson - he was seen as a plodder; a JAG guy that will get what is blocked and nothing more. Once he was put in a nice spot, he excelled.

I think getting him in Indy where teams have to respect the pass a little more will allow him to thrive. We shall see.
