The Chicago Bears have selected Canadian Football League coach Marc Trestman as their new head coach according to Fox Sports’ Jimmy Johnson via Twitter.

The Bears have not made an official announcement yet.

Trestman, 56, has been head coach of the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes for the past five years, winning two Grey Cups in three championship games.

His NFL resume includes stints teaching the West Coast offense as offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the Browns, Cardinals, Dolphins, 49ers, Lions, Raiders and Vikings.

He was Marty's QB coach in 88.

That sounds like a good hire for them.

Im actually surpised he hasnt had an NFL HC gig before? Hes been a pretty successfull offensive mind for awhile.

Milkman was probably right and we should have kept Emery around.
