For the lazy/tin-eared guitar players

Thanks to Gibson's Powertune system, now even tin-eared guitarists can push a button, strum the guitar a few times, and then it's as if a ghost has taken over the machine, turning the tuning pegs until the guitar is accurately tuned. It tunes each string to within .02 cent, which is pretty damn close to perfection. It can tune to the default A440, or it can tune the strings to pitches that are relative to a note of your choice. You can also store a variety of tunings and quickly call them up. Hey, this could really be useful.

Very cool.

This will be the next thing they come up with:

Thanks to Gibson's Powerplay system, now even non-guitarists can push a button, stand back, and then it's as if a ghost has taken over the machine, playing perfectly any riff programmed into it. It plays any solo with 99.9% accuracy, which is pretty damn close to perfection. It can play any of the non-challenging classic rock solos of the 70's, or it can burn up the neck by playing the most intricate Buckethead riff spot on. You can also store a variety of hot riffs ranging from the blues to Eurometal and quickly call them up. Hey, this could really be pointless.

:)

Dang, Ron... you got me good on this one - I started looking for these features on the internet. Closest thing for the newbie would be a fretlight neck (wonderful teaching tool, I might add).

As a music store owner, all I can say is Wow.

I wish every guitar was equipped with that so that I wouldnt have to rely on employees to keep our guitars tuned up (which they never get right!)

guitar tuning is subjective anyway. Lets be honest no one can get that DemonKcFunk sound out of their late 70's washburn like I can
