I'm so confused now. I thought we wanted Tampa to win so that we could control our destiny.

Nevermind, I see it now. Thought Tampa was playing Cleveland for some reason.

The problem with Tampa losing is Baltimore would stay ahead of us. If Tampa wins, we'll be another half game out of the WC but tied with Baltimore.

So what changed that made us want Tampa to lose now?

Tampa isn't playing Texas anymore, so Tampa should die in a fire.

WE WANT TAMPA TO LOSE, BALTIMORE HAS A BITCH SCHEDULE.

We need for this to get really tight if we don't win out!

The math isn't in our favor, and therefore the Royals likely will not make the playoffs.

However, it seems pretty hard to argue right now that the season has not been a success on the whole. It might be a baby step, but becoming relevant seems like a pretty big deal right now.

Figuring out time travel is simpler than figuring out these wild card situations.

Its easier to pass both of them if Tampa loses. Remember, Cleveland's schedule is cake, they might end up as hot as we hope we'll be, so maybe we'll need to take TB's spot.

Either way, I want to keep our elimination number higher. With the way this team is playing, the longer their in it, the more chances they have to win it. They've proven they can handle big games when it matters.

Yeah, but if Tampa gets swept by Baltimore, we'll just be chasing Baltimore instead of Tampa. Baltimore plays Toronto then 3 against Boston who has clinched. Tampa plays the Yankees next week. Tough call.

I am rooting for Baltimore simply because I could see the Ray's WC spot opening up and Baltimore has a tough schedule. Mostly I think were just rooting for no two teams to run away from us in the last 10 or so games.

That's where I've been at. Let Cleveland run away with the 1st wildcard and let the east beat up on each other while we keep winning.

I don't see how it is even a question--you want the team farthest ahead to lose. The only possible exception is if we had games against that team, but that's not the case.
