Possible WR Target

The signing of WR Jerricho Cotchery to an extension means veteran WR Justin McCareins will likely by released. He is due to earn $3 million in 2007. Might come cheap, provide some depth and competition. |
How old is he?

We need to genuinely rebuild the Chiefs in some positions, and we could merely use a stopgap for a year in others.
Stopgap positions: QB, backup RB, C, LB, backup DE Seriously rebuilding: OT, WR, DT, nickelback WR is too prime a concern for the Chiefs right now to just use a stopgap, which is clearly what McCareins provides. |

Better off drafting a WR. I like the WRs in the draft this year. It is a pretty deep draft for wideouts this year. I think it is a good possiblity that a top WR in this years draft can fall to #23.

Last year was Samie's first full year as a starter. And the QB postion was less than stable. It is too early to give up on him. One more year.

So not funny, Clayton.

Kennison's production fell off. And he and Huard had some connection going.

This is going to be J. Webbs year.

I thought McCareins was gonna be a star when he was with the Titans, but he has disappeared in NY. Possibly worth a one-year deal, IMO. Buh-Bye, Samie.

It's not me. I figured someone would think so. |
He never really lived up to his potential when the Jets traded for him and probably never will. He would be worth taking a flier on if its cheap enough. We have little depth at the position and I think he could be a decent #2 or 3 WR.
|
Mccariens could be a good number 2 or 3 option, but i think we still need to hold on to sammie for one more year, keep kennison around to school up w/e young reciever we draft and lets try an get jeff webb some balls, o yeah what ever happened to craphanso thorpe?

KC should target a guy that can be a threat as a #1...
