What to do with scrap treated wood?

I had to take down some fluorescent light boxes and I also had some treated lumber retaining posts taken out of my garden. Where can I take them to dispose of them in the KC area? Preferably some place in Johnson County.

Somewhere in the Corporate Woods parking lots. *shrugs*

Bonfire...

Honestly, go find a farmer or a guy with a lot of trailers. Treated wood is great for putting under a jack so it doesn't sink when it rains.

This.

Farmers have an infinate use for treated wood.

On a side note, what is "rain"?

Build a fort!

Put a "free lumber/firewood" sign on the wood, place it somewhere where rednecks will see it, watch it disappear.

Seriously. Gone in no time.

Burning treated wood releases nasty chemicals, doesn't it? I always thought that was a big no-no.

Good idea.

Where can I find a farmer? LMAO

dmahurin 10-05-2012 08:45 AM

Post it on Craigslist as free if someone picks it up. It'll be gone quick.

Dad said it rained once when he was a kid. I hear they get it all the time in OP.

You seriously don't know a single one? :doh!: If I were closer I'd come get it, surely, you know someone in the country with an acreage that knows one. Surely...

Silock 10-05-2012 10:18 AM

No, I seriously know zero farmers. All of my friends live in the city. I'd post it on craigslist, but I'm freaked out by skeevy people just showing up at my house to pick up shit.
