So my wife just got a big promotion today. I'm thrilled for her!

I'm in the middle of a career change myself. Just don't know what direction to go yet.

I thought I'd share since the Chiefs will not make any moves till draft day. :D:D

I was, but I trying to get into non profit foundation fund raising. I'm getting old... wanting to start a family so I'm looking for the comfort of a job that gives me a 401k match, and one that I can go home at 5 p.m. every night.

Have you thought about carpet cleaning? I mean... you've already got a name made for yourself!

No crap. I hate taxes. When my wife was in law school we got huge refunds, but now we just get killed. It just sucks that Hillary and Obama think I'm in that 2% of super rich people when I'm not. We just don't have kids yet.

I quit mistreating them over a year ago, I sold out my share of the business and had a little fun during the presidential crap this past year. That gig didn't last as long as it was supposed to so I'm in a transition period. Do I start up my fundraising business again. i'd just go on my own and keep it small this time, or do I go raise money for a college or university?

Interviewing with a university tomorrow.

How long should I wait until I tell Hoover its 2 weeks until she says

"I'm pregnant....I want to stay home with our baby and quit working for a few years...at least until she's in school".

I'd give it at least a good six months.

Phil will have made her phat by then...and hoover will be picking up 2nd shift at a warehouse or working the door at Woody's.

Hoover 03-12-2008 09:36 PM

Nah, she has one of those jobs you can't give up because of the benefits.

So worse case senario is that she wants me to stay home and f around on the planet.

PhillyChiefFan 03-13-2008 06:27 AM

Congrats!! thats great for your wife and you. You'll figure something out, I'm sure.

StcChief 03-13-2008 08:04 AM

Good deal. a career woman that can support you.....

Hoover 03-13-2008 08:21 AM

No crap. I'm really lucky. It sucked when I was the one paying her Law School bill and only having one income.

She took a pretty major career risk this time last year and it paid off. She basically didn't use her Law degree but got her foot in the door in place she really wanted to be and it worked out.
