So people seem to love Putin around here. A homophobic, human rights abuser/ dictator. I bet the same people will vote for Hillary.

Most of the Putin fans around here are the conservatives.

I would guesstimate that Putin's popularity amongst "conservatives" grew exponentially when Obama was elected.

Putin had been scoring on Obama at will for a while, and the sanctions he's now putting on us are hilarious because he's basically clowning Obama for not having the balls to put any real sanctions on Russia.

However I think Putin is overplaying his hand with this belligerency, targeting our aircraft and these incursions into our airspace and such, to say nothing of his expansionism. He is always taking an inch somewhere and testing people's resolve, and then taking more when they show that they're going to let him. But eventually he's going to step over a line where someone in the world will get the never to oppose him, be it the next US president or Europe or something.

Putin

I have to give the Left props on this. I remember how much they supported George W. against Putin back in the day and how they argued forcefully that we should be using our military in Georgia in 2008.
