Bober Restructured
 

I copied all the '06 salaries for the Chiefs this weekend, so I could keep an eye out for cap moves. This is what tipped off Holmes' restructuring a few weeks ago.

I noticed that Bober's base has dropped from 1.5 to 1.1 million. Looks like that's one more contract that has been redone.

Nothing real big, just thought I'd mention it.

Bober is the man.

Yes. A week or two ago.

What are the details? So he is not going to retire?

There aren't a lot of details. He just restructured, that's all we know.

I'd say he isn't going to retire, but it's always a possibility still.

I wonder if he is still making more than LJ.

A friend of mine called tonight who listens to the KC area radio stations during the day. He told me that Priest's dad said that Priest will likely retire and he hasn't been working out at all this offseason. Can anybody here confirm this, or is it just media speculation?

There was a story about that in a San Antonio paper a few weeks back. He has restructured his contract since that story was written.

There's no way to know for sure what he will do, but I doubt the Chiefs would have restructured him if they thought there was a chance he would retire. That would be throwing money away.

I also noticed we added OL Adam Johnson to the roster in the last week.

No idea who he is, but I hadn't heard anything about it.

Now that you have this new found skill, are you going to work for Athan and sell us this info in the future? I would.
