By the same token if you expect the best and get the worst you probably throw a hissy fit tantrum like Jim harbaugh.

Are you saying you wouldn't want Jim Harbaugh coaching your team?

Thanks for making my point for me.

Marty's first few drafts were pretty horrible actually.

Oh i agree. Niners did the same thing basically right?

Most regimes that succeed quickly mostly do so using the previous regimes players. Maybe adding a key piece or two.

examples: DT in 89
Niners with Kaepernick and Aldon Smith

Me personally? No I'm not a fan of Harbaugh, I'm sure you probably know why. I'll take my chances with AR.

I do, but Harbaugh is not my favorite person ever. I guess you could say i'm not a go along to get along type of guy.

UNderstood. My opinion is, i dont hang with these guys, they are not my drinking buddies. All i care about is winning.

They drafted elite players.

None yet but, the Chiefs on the otherhand, to many times to count.

I reserve the right to enter this season with cautious optimism. It's better for my blood pressure this way

Don't get your hopes up. We are missing several pieces and it usually takes time. Especially when you start a rookie QB. Last year was the exception imo.

Remember...

Dorsey said, "I am going to do everything within my God-given ability that we have as competitive as a team in the NFL as anyone in the NFL. I want to remind them. Please be patient. This is not a sprint. It is a marathon."

and

Reid said, "Before I interviewed with the Chiefs, I looked at every snap from every [Kansas City] game this year. Special teams were average. The talent overall, it looked to me like they were transitioning from an older team to a younger one. And I thought, 'With a couple, three drafts, very good things can happen here."

Expect this to take some time. We are picking first for a reason and it's not just because of the QB.

Well of course they are going to say that. They sure aren't going to say we will be where we want to be next year!

The 49ers proved it. From 2003 to 2010 they were 46-82. Last two seasons: 24-7-1 with obvious playoff wins and a SB appearance.

2003-2010 WAS their rebuilding process. They drafted most of the cornerstones of their franchise during that time.

The Colts or Seahawks are probably a better example. Even then, they both MAJORLY lucked out in the draft.

So we can consider Chiefs 2007 to 2012 a rebuilding process then? We do have 5 Pro Bowlers

Yes. The problem is that you needed a coach and GM and you're still a couple drafts away most likely, but there's some talent to build around on your roster.
