As much as I love baseball...it's just so hard to give a shit about the Royals after the Allstar break.

Sorry, but the ownership of this team over 20 yrs has conditioned me that way.

And Johnny G. has been stroking pretty damn good the last few days. Maybe there's hope for him yet. If we have ourselves a 2nd basemen, we may have ourselves a team

There's always been hope for him, it's just the Royals Mgmt just seems to want to jerk him around and not let him feel comfortable. Dude has been pressing every single at bat in his entire MLB career.

Looks like they have a pretty decent shot at finishing 3rd in the division. Is that the highest since 2003? Baby steps…..

that has more to do with cleveland and minnesota than it does KC.

Well, right now they are .500 against the Central. Thats better than usual.

Yeah. But they're still making certifiably crazy decisions. Hell, like everyone else, I piled on about them still believing in Chokevar.

But, even nuttier is their refusal to talk contract with Guthrie until the season's over. Hell, they have exclusive negotiating rights.

Perhaps they're afraid Guthrie will just use any offer to take to other teams in FA, but I think its actually possible he might not want to mess with success after his bad experience in Colorado. I wrote about that one too.

I swear this front office drives me nuts.
