Favorite toy you have ever owned or still own?

What was your favorite toy?
Mine is the Y-Wing from Star Wars. I still have it with the bomb on the bottom.

Dayze 12-22-2012 11:05 PM

I had a huge collection of hot wheels. I loved hot wheels.

Nerf basketball with the metal rim that hung over the door and a real string net. I played games against my brother, my dad and my friends for years.

In addition, when I brought girls over we played dare games of kissing based on making a shot! :D

I definitely played the hell out of a nerf hoop or 2 on my day.

Dayze 12-23-2012 09:07 AM

yeah, the hoop was kick ass. playing games (this is going to soud very gay coming up) on your knees etc.

lol.....there' s no way to say that without it sounded full on gay

Why did you start this thread?

Canofbier 12-23-2012 09:14 AM

When I was a kid, I was really into Beast Wars (the Transformers TV Show/line of toys at the time).

**** YEAH DINOBOT
http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/f/f8/Be...t_1996_toy.jpg

I also went through a Lego phase a little later on, and owned this sweet ninja/samurai castle that I played with constantly.

Nowadays, I'd probably just default to a football or baseball (as long as computers/video games don't count).

Before Atari and NES........I was all about slot-car racing, Legos (and the boring/bland legos of the 70's, not the crazy/expensive stuff kids have now), and hot wheels.

Really enjoyed slot-car racing though.

mlyonsd 12-23-2012 09:40 AM

Back in the 60's when we were working towards landing on the moon I was given this and it was the present I remember the most. In fact, I talked about it enough my wife found one on ebay about 10 years ago and got it for me.

Might have to get it out on Christmas day and let the family play with it.

Wish I still had it.

rico 12-23-2012 10:10 AM

A hot wheel track that has a flag that indicates to you which car won. I have younger brothers who are 13 and 15 and I always "teach" them how to make brackets and what not and race the cars....but in reality, I'm so big into pushing all the hot wheels track stuff because I freaking love it. I also have this toy parrot that mimic everybody and everything.....total awesomeness.

I got this when I was 6 or 7 years old for Christmas.

Not sure it really qualifies as a toy, but it is something that I got in my youth 51 years ago and I still have.

When I was 6 my dad and uncles all bought my BB guns for Christmas for all their kids(my 4 cousins and my brother and I). To hang them on in our room our Grandpa made gun racks with our names on them. To this day I am the only one that still has his, and my name is still visible on it.

Hot Wheels were big for me and I remember those strange purple connectors for the track and the little house with batteries that connected to the track to keep propelling the cars non-stop all around the oval track
