I'm curious about how effective their pass rush has been this year. The reason for my question: If we are unable to find our rushing game, I think we can exploit their defense with a 4-5 wr set (using Gonzo as a 4-5th).
Any takes on the Oakland pass rush vs. an expanded WR set. |
What Oakland pass rush?
|
The Faduhs have a total of 13 sacks this season 28th in the league. They had one against us - Grbac ran out of bounds to avoid a pass rush

like wolf said...what pass rush?
Oakland pass rush -Johnstone=hahahahahahahaha |
Our O line pass protection is INCREDIBLE. Grbac has an eternity to pick and choose his receivers.

I've been meaning to reply to some of this, but I've been out of my office for a while.
If the Raiders pass rush is meager, why then would we not line up 4 wr's everytime and go after them. If they start dropping their LB's back to help cover, you can run draws, shovel passes, etc. to keep the LB's honest. I think we can exploit our strength with the pass against a weak Oakland pass rush, without putting Grbac in harms way. Does that sound logical? Exactly...dinkdunk them the same way they do us.

We can dink and dunk, but as soon as their LB's and safety start to cheat in, we should be able to hammer them with the Long Ball to DA or Morris. This will be interesting to see how many times the Chiefs go to a 4 wr set. I think we could kill them with this formation. |
I just hope we don't try to find our running game to prove that we can run.

With Johnstone listed as doubtful, they'll have to bring the house with a blitz to get a rush. Just give Elvis a couple of seconds.....
