Crennel - Just keep bringing the heat baby!

If this D keeps the pressure up they do awsome. In the second half they started to go into a prevent and they started giving up yardage. That is the way it has been all year. Keep the heat up and they do awsome, if they don't not so much. I think Crennel is starting to see that. Keep it up Crennel. I am kinda hoping to see you do well and keep the HC job.

If Houston and Hali can be the next great passrushing duo in KC then we'll be set for years.

Think about how good Hali would be if they weren't grabbing him by the neck on every goddamn play...

The same thing was being done to Derrick Thomas when he played for the Chiefs in the 90's. Less than half the time he was being held was it actually called.

Yeah...I'm not sure why this doesn't get called more often. It's pretty blatent. I counted 2-3 facemask grabs on Hali where the Ref just ignored it. It seems we get called for quite a bit less...

What's great is that we didn't have to blitz to pressure Rodgers.

It was nice to see Bailey in there getting a sack. He looks to have a bit of potential as well...

WhiteWhale 12-19-2011 03:15 PM

I hate to point this out, but KC did not run a blitz heavy defense yesterday.

Romeo called the same type of game yesterday that he's been crucified on this forum for running, it's just that the PLAYERS got pressure on the QB.

Romeo's a hack DC who the game has passed by though. This D is obsolete and so forth...

That was a monster sack, too. Guarantee Rogers feels that one today.

I like your take. Although it seems kinda like post #6.

Yep. That's even better. All I ask of a coach is to find ways to get your best players on the field and ask them to do what they do best as often as possible. For example, I don't want to see Houston in coverage. I want to see him attacking the QB.

Yeah, but I was actively calling out the know-it-all armchair DC's.

Right up the gut. It was like the Center and Guard rolled out the red carpet for him...

Good stuff

He would definately be leading the league in sacks.

I didn't like the way Romeo ran the D early in the season. Houston was specifically a guy who's skill were not being taken advantage of.
