Matt, listen up buddy you do not have to take a pay cut! Stick to your guns, after all you graded out perfectly after your four years here. You deserve to be a starter in the NFL, I mean seriously 27-7 and a pro-bowl, who puts on a performance like that and then gets questioned? It doesn't matter that you have no talent or balls, what's important is that you work harder, being unable to throw a football doesn't matter if you stay longer at meetings and play catch in the offseason with your WRs.

I've said for some time now that Cassel would be a great backup. Interesting thing, as much as he's sucked, he still has leverage. If I were him, I'd tell them no.

Why he would accept a pay cut to stay and compete, for the team he shit the bed on is makes no sense.

Depends. Giant fans are pretty knowledgeable but they aren't motivated by jealousy. Chiefs fans have shown there is stupidity everywhere.
