Zac Dysert

This kid is going to move up draft boards the next few months. He's had 3 different head coaches so he is still really raw, but has the tools.

Bump because I finally got around to looking at him. I think he has the highest upside of any QB in this draft. He has mad velocity on every throw. I immediately put him at number three on my big board. Hell, if it weren't for drops, he may well have beat that Ohio State defense.

I literally just watched that video of him against OSU. He would be a great 3rd round pick.

I think he gets picked up in the first by Pittsburgh. He and Roethlisberger have spoken several times.

I prefer Nassib but think he'd be fantastic as well.

interesting, had never heard of him...

Yea, the more I read about him, the more I like him. He may leapfrog Wilson for me. I have him at number three currently. His stats would be way better if his receivers could catch a ball. Like he might have beat Ohio State there.

EDIT: Wow I posted pretty much the exact thing like a week ago.

Chiefnj2 12-05-2012 01:06 PM

It's tough to evaluate him. He went through 4 different OC/QB coaches in college and didn't have much supporting help. Yet, despite that he has a ton of autonomy to call plays, etc., and his mechanics are pretty good.

If you look at the stats of the OSU game you'd think he sucks or that it is impossible for a QB to look good in a 25 some odd point defeat, but he did look pretty good.

I think once all of the extraneous factors are taken into consideration he will rise up the draft boards, although football might not be his big love in life. ( He quit football in HS to play hockey).

Bray in the late first or second and Dysert in the fourth. Or third if he soars.

By late first you mean top 15 for Bray?

Who are we taking at #1 overall?

As bad as it sucks, I think we win two more games.

Geno Smith in the 1st. Dysert in the 3rd.

I don't. I think we're gonna get rolled this week.

The only game I could see us have a shot at is Oakland, but we play like shit against them.

2-14.

Nightfyre 12-05-2012 08:26 PM

Dysert will go in the late first/early second, imo.

1.1 - Geno Smith
2.33 - Zac Dysert

I don't care that we would be investing two high picks at QB. We need a franchise QB. If they both pan out, it's extra picks down the line.

Nightfyre 12-05-2012 11:38 PM

Proof Walter sometimes relies on stats instead of watching the tape:

Quote:

Zac Dysert, QB, Miami of Ohio
Height: 6-4. Weight: 228.
Projected 40 Time: 4.79.
Projected Round (2013): 3-5.
12/1/12: Dysert has completed 63 percent of his passes for 3,483 yards, 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2012. The redshirt senior could have helped his draft stock by playing well against Cincinnati, but he had a mixed day. Dysert also didn't perform well against Ohio State in an opportunity to excel against good competition.
