Try this poll on for size: The Titans lure in Manning....
Manning shows up to Tennessee for training camp is perfect shape and seemingly perfectly healthy. The Titans anticipate playing him for the next three years.
Which makes the 1st rounder they spent on Jake Locker seem like a waste of a pick. So Scott Pioli and the Chiefs finally bring in a QB of the future by trading this year's 2nd, next year's 2nd, and another pick in 2013 based on performance, for Jake Locker. Locker pushes Cassel for the starting position in 2012, and takes over in 2013. He will be 24 years old by that time. |
I'm for it.
|
No deal. Let's see what this Matt Cassel guy has got first.
|
Never happens,Pioli never cheats on his wife. Locker would be a good mistress but Scotty loves him some Matty.
I voted yes. |
I would do the deal, although I would try to maybe get Locker for a 2nd, a 3rd, and have the last pick based on performance ...but not to exceed another 2nd.
|
Locker isn't ideal, blah blah blah. **** it. Just do something different. Give the kid a shot. What have we got to lose?
|
Locker isn't worth that much. Tennessee's the one who drove down his value, so they should be willing to accept less.
That said, if it's really the only option we have of building on a young QB with promising talent, I guess I'll take it up the ass on that deal. Again, at least we'd be trying. |
Id rather draft a QB in the first round of 2013 -
Id rather sign the other Matt from the Titans on a 1 year deal. Use my round 2 pick on a NT |
Locker should Cost atleast a first. I was thinking hasselbeck is the more realistic version.
|
What does next year's crop of QB draftees look like?
|
Flopnuts just JIHP.

He's going to require a cost. I'm thinking something like this might get the deal done:

I wouldn't trade a single pick for Jake Locker. Not one.
|
At this point I'm all for letting Zorn QB for a season.
