It's a valid question. I don't have a facebook or twitter account. I don't open my life to people. Is it fair to say that if you open your life to people things like this are bound to happen? Especially if you have 100,000 followers like Smith probably did?

You don't need to have a Twitter account for somebody to talk shit about you on Twitter. The tweet wasn't even directed at Smith; it looks like Ray Rice just happened to see it and respond to it. That's the only way any of us even know about it.
