Yup, it means nobody put in a claim including us.

When do we know what players the Chiefs signed?

Mr. Krab 09-06-2009 12:20 PM

If people find any other team's practice squad announcements i can add them to the OP and keep them to one thread.

RealSNR 09-06-2009 12:22 PM

He's on their practice squad. Can't we sign him to our team at any time?

Yes, but i think Pittsburgh would have chance to match and promote him to their full roster first.

I'm pretty sure the only rule is they have to be on the 53 man active roster. I've never heard of an ability to match.

A team would have to offer the player a contract would they make the claim, i assume. Then Pittsburgh would have to match that contract and promote him to the 53 man roster.

At least that's the way i understand it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they don't get to match it. They just run the risk of losing him by not having him on the roster.

Jamon Meredith also claimed waivers and the Packers added him to their PS.

Another guy that CPers abused Pioli for not taking, and not one team in the NFL even wanted him for free.

JD10367 09-06-2009 01:23 PM

And if another team signs someone off your PS, I think they have to keep him active for three games, or something like that.
