So, did the hiccups stop?

Kclee 01-25-2006 10:05 AM

Weird. I had a similar situation happen. I pulled my 'gun' out on some chick and it went off right on her neck. Small world.

The world record for the longest continuous bout of hiccups goes to Charles Osborne (1894–1991) from Anthon, Iowa. The hiccups started in 1922 at a rate of 40 times per minute, slowing to 20 and eventually stopping in February 1990 – a total of 68 years. [2]

My father was somewhat of a freak about hiccups. If any of us hiccuped more than five times, he'd threaten us with bodily damage. Hence, we can all stop hiccups before the fifth time.

99% of the time I have one and then it's over. Maybe 5 or 6 times in my life has it gone past one.

I used to get hiccups for hours at a time. But now I have the perfect cure.

Take ten sips of water, then a big ten second gulp. Works everytime. I alteast find it more tolerable than taking a bullet in the chest.

That was a bullet in the NECK. That thing most of us use to hold up our head. You might be using your ass for holding your head, though.

:)
