Sweet game, Shocker Nation showed up and took over the Reynolds center. Tulsa was making shots early and we were down 8, but when it mattered the Senior took over. After the game Coach Gregg Marshall acknowledged the shocker fans that made the trip and gave us a thumbs up.

Beating Tulsa is always a good thing. When I attended WSU, Tulsa was the main rival, especially in football.

Yea, I was shocked at the lack of support Tulsa has for the basketball program, had just a attendance of 4,000 that showed for the game. Shocker fan were clearly louder. I just remember the days they had Nolan Richardson and Bill Self.

That really is poor attendance. Tulsa is a pretty small school IIRC, right? They were always kind of an overachiever.
Oral Roberts actually used to have a better BB program from that town, but haven't heard anything from them lately.

Wichita State Shockers (9-2)
Gregg Marshall's club debuts atop the tweaked rankings despite a weak few days that included a beatdown of winless Chicago State on Dec. 14 and Sunday night's 102-53 thrashing of the Wichita-based D-II Newman Jets. November's back-to-back losses to Alabama and Temple are the only blemishes on a schedule studded with quality wins over opponents such as UNLV, Utah State and Tulsa. The Shockers are riding high with a senior-laden roster that hustles inside and out. WSU opponents shoot just 26.8 percent from deep, and missed shots are routinely corralled by 7-footer Garrett Stutz, who boasts an excellent 23.7 defensive rebounding percentage.
