Oil Addiction

Gas prices dropping sharply, hit 5-month low
Unleaded off 15 cents in 2 weeks to average $2.87 a gallon, survey finds

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14545630/

Obviously, we must be stupid if the price of $2.87 a gallon makes us happy. Reuters actually writes the article as if it is a good thing that it is that low, which isn't low. We are puppets of the Oil Companies.

hell we are fighting a war and bush and his cronies still get the money typical while we take it up the gravey pipe. I don't even know why you should go to work. I just just send my money to the white house

If you want me to say "gas prices are dropping sharply" and believe it, knock about a buck and a quarter off the price of a gallon. THAT constitutes "dropping sharply".

Deberg_1990 08-27-2006 09:32 PM

They have us conditioned now to think that $2.80 is cheap. I honestly dont ever see gas dropping lower than $2.50 a gallon ever again. Sad....

Demonpenz 08-27-2006 09:34 PM

I don't see why they would lower it below 250 we can do nothing about it. Hell it took 55 bucks to fill up the tahoe ss today. ****ing bullshit

JBucc 08-27-2006 09:37 PM

I saw a place at 2.55 today, about 20 minutes after I filled up at a 2.78 place:banghead:

prolly won't be long till 3.25-75 is the norm. evrything else but wages will go up another 7-10% and congress will vote themselves another raise. and all we'll be able to do is complain. just about time for a new revolution

$2.80 would be pretty damn cheap where I live. I have been paying close or around, $3.50 a gallon for close to a year. Biggest reason I traded my Duramax for a Toyota..... :banghead:

Well, that and I bought a 30' R.V. that gets a whopping 9 miles to the gallon....Can't wait to visit the lower part of my county next year during camping season....Should only cost me a couple of hundred bucks!!!

Gas is down to either $2.64 or $2.62 here. :)

I am happy for the downward turn. I won't be satisfied until we get back to under 2 bucks though.

Yeah, I know. NEVER HAPPEN!!!

Deberg_1990 08-27-2006 09:44 PM

In San Luis County. You know, halfway between L.A. and S.F. right along the coast. I have been pretty fortunate to buy gas in front of Food For Less at about $3.45 lately. I have heard of Humboldt, but where is that????
