Whitlock predicts LT done in SD.

7. LaDainian Tomlinson will never start another game in a San Diego uniform.

Don't expect to see L.T. donning those powder blues next season. (Denis Poroy / Associated Press)

Man, this is a bad day for me. LT and Peyton Manning are two of my favorite players, but I have to keep it real.

LT's injury saved the Chargers. With a healthy LT, Sproles never gets his chance to dominate the Colts. Darren "Seabiscuit" Sproles is an every-down back. Yes, he's small, but the Biscuit, like the legendary undersized thoroughbred, is made to run with the big dogs.

I've been watching Seabiscuit make fools of bigger men ever since he starred at Olathe North High School, 20 minutes from my home. When he signed with Kansas State, I had my doubts. He put a clown suit on me and everyone in the Big 12.

What he did to the Colts on Saturday — 328 all-purpose yards — did not surprise anyone who saw him play in high school and college. The Biscuit is off the chains.

LT should be on the trading block this offseason. He'd be a wonderful addition to the Patriots.

Wouldn't suprise me, maybe he retires?

So he does read the Planet

Demonpenz 01-06-2009 02:02 PM

I hope he goes else wear and tears it up. I am tired of him beating us up

Sproles should come to KC, mofos!

Deberg_1990 01-06-2009 02:17 PM

Sproles is not an every down guy. I dont see him ever getting 300-350 carries a year like LT did without breaking down.

I can however see LT leaving SD. Or he could stay and split carries with Sproles again?

At this point in LT's career, he needs to split the load.

Marvin Harrison may end up out of Indy too due to his salary.

ModSocks 01-06-2009 02:20 PM

This is stupid. Oh wow, he tore up the soft colts D. whoopie. Did no one else see the way he took a pounding when people were actually able to put pads on him? Sproles got lit-up on several plays that game. Now imagine that over the course of a season.

And LT isn't done, and who the hell would replace LT with sproles? LT will retire a charger.

This could very well happen

Exactly. you know why Sproles looks fresh? Because he is. He only had 100 carries this season.

he could never survive in KC, he's so tiny, he'd break. We don't have the personnel to pave the way for such a fragile running back, imo.

Give me a break Whitlock. Sproles played well but he nearly cost them the game when fumbled on the 1 yard line. If you take the last play of the game he only had 21 carries for 83 yards. That's 4.0 YPC. Not that great. Micheal Bennet looked as good running the ball as Sproles did. Sproles did well filling in for LT but lets not get carried away here.

Wow Jason welcome to 3 months ago.....it was pretty obvious earlier this year that the bolts screwed up by getting rid of turner, LT's done (along with Farve which is the real reason Madden is considering retirement.)

Molitoth 01-06-2009 03:10 PM

It's a good thing Bob "Jesus" Sanders didn't show up.

Buck 01-06-2009 03:16 PM

Thats idiotic.
