moar fullbacks

J Diddy 05-07-2013 09:12 PM

I can honestly say I could give a shit about a fullback. Apparently Andy differs.

MMXcalibur 05-07-2013 09:16 PM

It's mid-May and we're talking about fullbacks.
Take a few months off.

I don't trust Andy Reid on game managing.
I don't know yet how great of a personnel guy he is, especially when it comes to the draft (that's a "wait and see" thing).
I don't know if he's smart about his QBs, or if he actually believes Alex Smith is the answer

What I do trust is that he knows offense, and his offensive system loves to feature a fullback. He loves running out of the I-formation and he loves to pass the ball to his fullback. Not a critical position, but the fullback should play about 20% of the snaps, and as we saw with Leonard Weaver, he can turn a fullback into a pro bowler. Incidentally, if we get a good fullback in Sherman and a special teams gunner, it's a decent guy to have on your roster.

I would like to emphasize that almost nobody on this board has seen my whore of a mother play fullback.

I'm seriously questioning the football acumen of this board.

A real team builds around the fullback.

Expect to see us in 4 consecutive Super Bowls

BossChief 05-07-2013 09:38 PM

I find it hard to believe that Andy is gonna need a traditional fullback as much as a h back type player.

Remember, the biggest gripe is that the guy doesn't run the ball enough.

RealSNR 05-07-2013 09:40 PM

Direckshun's whore mother doesn't play fullback.

She plays hairyback.

Hammock Parties 05-07-2013 09:42 PM

He uses the fullback quite a bit, believe it or not. Owen Schmitt at one point was lining up for about 1/3 of offensive snaps, and about half of Philly's running plays use a fullback.

can one of them catch? That FB that played for SF, if one of them is like that. Lets go with him. lol, why did we trade Javier for this fullback AND draft one?

Rain Man 05-07-2013 09:57 PM

I still don't know what happened to Peyton Hillis.

BigBeauford 05-07-2013 11:13 PM

Should be an epic battle!
