LA Dodgers or the LA Angels of Anaheim?

Both of them I Guess. I ment the Dodgers. Watching them on the other channel I am jealous of their team. The Rangers aren't the same without mike napoli

Still playing decent 2nd half ball. Only reason I am watching the games still. Small shines of promise I suppose.

Couple things that really ****ed us early...

1. Hochevar
2. Sanchez
3. Humberto
4. Frenchy
5. Yuni
6. Cain hurt
7. Perez hurt

We've managed to deal with #'s 2 and 5. #'s 6 and 7 fixed #3. We get rid of Hoch and French and the light at the end of the tunnel burns brighter.

Good win tonight. I was worried about Guthrie after the first couple innings, but he settled in nicely.

WOW. @ the Twins-White sox score

SPchief 09-04-2012 09:14 PM

Bukaty tweeted that Guthrie is open for contract talks before the end of the season.

2 and 7 are the big ones that hurt this season. I feel pretty confident that if Salvy wasn't hurt for half the season that we'd have at least 5 more wins. Which would put us at 65-69 for the season.

July just ****ing killed us this year. Wasn't it around the end of June, the last time the Royals tried to breech the 5 under. 500 mark? Too little too late again.

BigMeatballDave 09-05-2012 09:07 AM

Even with the 12-game losing streak, had they continued the same winning percentage as May, June, and the past 6 weeks, they'd be in the division race.

Deberg_1990 09-05-2012 10:04 AM

Heh, so I wonder if the Royals will consider Guthrie their big pitching acquisition and call it a day?

The probably won't even fork out the money to bring him back.

Of course he is, he’s been pitching lights out and now has the chance to cash in based purely on a stretch of 5 good starts.
