Up The Irons brother, I'll be in the pit in Chicago July 18th!

I first saw Maiden on the "Powerslave" tour in 1985. I have some import LPs from those days; I wonder if they're worth anything. I think one of them might be "Women In Uniform" with Eddie killing Margaret Thacher. Another has "Sheriff of Huddersfield" as a B-side, I think.

There was this kid in my junior high that had a shirt from the local sporting goods store and he had Iron What? on the front and Iron Maiden on the back. The letters were ironed on. It was ironic, but everybody thought dude was the shit.

Back in 1985ish, I was in John's Pass in Florida (a touristy pier near St. Pete). There was an airbrush artist named Adam. My friend and I brought him the first two album covers, and he airbrushed a shirt for each of us (I got the "Killers" one). The shirt is awesome... except he decided to put our names on the back. IN ****ING RAINBOW-COLORED PLUMP LETTERS. :cuss:

Anyway, I squeeze into the shirt--gay lettering on the back and all--every time I go to a concert. Last one I saw was the Benjamin Breeg tour (where they did the whole album). I realized there were kids at the show who were literally younger than my shirt, by a good margin.

ROFL That's awesome!

The awkwardness at metal shows is the glue that binds.

Which awkwardness? Having my name on my back in gay rainbow letters, or knowing that my shirt was older than half the crowd? :banghead:

New Iron Maiden single? I never thought I'd see those words in that order ever again.

The front of the shirt is awesome! He did a great air brush job. The back well.... the front is awesome!

I can't get into the site, seems like it crashed with some SQL issues :(

Edit: now it loaded for me, must've been issue with Firefox.

I love the new song-hope the whole CD rocks that hard. Wish they were coming to KC. I doubt they ever will though-the last time it was just me and about 2000 die hards at Kemper-pretty sad.
