If they trade for Alex Smith, they are screaming, "WIN NOW!" Anything less will be a failure.

alex smith will get you at best 10-6
at worse 6-10

and probably somewhere in the middle at 8-8

that is who he is. accept it. you wont win a playoff game with him unless they build the #1 defense in the NFL and they have a long way to go before that happens.

After all, no rookie QB has ever succeeded after having sat on the bench behind an experienced vet for the first year.
