Then maybe?

:)

I'm looking forward to this film as well. The director has been fighting with the studio on length, as he's pushing for 3 hours, minimum. Unfortunately, I think he'll lose but I'm sure a Director's Cut will see the light of day.

Really? I think it looks amazing. Casting Russell Crowe was genius, IMO. Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah should be awesome as well.

Supposedly, most of the $125 million dollar budget went to ILM in recreating the flood and all of the animals.

I can't imagine it'll disappoint.

I agree, that's a great choice.

He's such a great actor. He brings, for lack of a better word, humanity to his roles. As Maximus in Gladiator, his screen presence wasn't overwhelming and he wasn't "bigger than the film" but he was relatable. He brought a silent nobility to the character and I expect him to do the same as Noah.

Plus, it'll be fun to see all of the animals enter the ark as well as Methuselah. I know he was only briefly mentioned in the Old Testament but my Dad used to talk about him all the time when I was young, so it'll be neat to finally see him on film.

On a side note, I'd love to see other Old Testament stories brought to life with $100 million+ dollar budgets. Regardless of religion or religiosity, they're great stories that everyone should know, IMO.

I like Anthony Hopkins but Water World sucked.

I will be kind of disappointed if they don't.

Some believe that the flood, was entirely to rid the earth of any hybrid or tainted bloodlines that sons of God had created.

Great post, man.

New Testament, I know, but I Have always wondered why there was never a big budget adaptation of the book of Revelations. Could you imagine?
Rise of the Antichrist.
The 4 horsemen. War, Famine, Pestilence, Come and See: the pale horse whose rider was death, and Hell followed with him.
Unleashing of Satan...........THE RETURN OF CHRIST.
Daaaaaamn.
Definitely on the ST:
