The way they put it... I'm not even sure a team in 1940 did it. That's just how far back they've looked. They didn't really clarify it. The statisticians might have just passed out at that point.

Yeah it's kind of odd how they were saying it. Not sure if a team did it in 1940, or if records for it only go back to 1940? You would think that there would be some kind of "box score" data available but the clock rules have changed so much it might not be verifiable.

Exactly. They never said "This is the first time since the 1940 Bears" or something like that. I think that's just where they stopped looking, or maybe when they started keeping those kind of records.
