they are the last 2 and have no way to spawn youngins? whats the point if he lives 1 day or 10 years. Its just them 2. Cant continue anything

I don't think they're the last two. I think the two of them are traveling through the Solar System (humans left Earth a long time ago) and have a crash landing on Earth. They then discover that not all humans have in fact left the planet... DUN DUN DUN!
