this. nothing comes even close on the deep dish side.

i prefer Old Shawnee Pizza for a nice thin crust pizza.

but Giordano in Chicago is simply amazing. two pieces and you are done.

heh, I'm making my bomb pizza right now. There is this lebanese shop that sells the BEST Lebanese pita bread, it's like 14" and makes a great thin pizza crust. Plus it's only $1.75 for a bag of 6 of them, best deal ever. I would seriously pay like $10 a bag.

I'm using cream cheese spread like a sauce with a swirl of franks red hot, some baked chicken breast cut into pieces, red onion, fresh jalapenos, a swirl of ranch, topped with sorrento mozzerella and then I put spices over it, black pepper, garlic and crush red chili's. bake it for like 15 min on 400

DA BOMB

Minsky's, sadly.

I'm gonna try and find some really good New York pizza later this month. Anyone know any good places?

it just sad if papa johns is the best pizza that you've had. But hell, I grew up in a town where the only choices were Casey's and pizza hut, so papa johns seemed amazing when I first had it, lol. So I guess I can relate.

How does that relate? I've had some truly amazing traditional pizza. None of the chains even come close when talking about traditional pizza. The Hawaiian BBQ Chicken pizza just happens to be a specialty pizza that tastes perfect to me. If a real pizza joint made it, I'm sure it would be 10x better but I've never seen it anywhere else.

I grew up where Gambino's Pizza was what you had unless you wanted to drive 45 minutes to the next closest town for Pizza Hut. So 5 years ago, your post would make sense. Since then I've tried a lot of great pizza.

Zepi's Pizza circa 1978 on Wornall road. I ate at the re-opened Zepi's two years ago and was completely disappointed.

Now--

Old School Pizza in Olympia Washington.

Andolini's Pizza in Charleston, South Carolina.
