The guy took them to the finals 3 years ago and he just got the ax because of a bad year during a goofy season and 3 games? With his GM citing a 'gut feeling' and his owner upset about the pre-season results?

Sorry, but that's dysfunctional, IMO. Organizations that do shit like that just spin their wheels.

So, I just saw Hertl's goal and.....wow. That is.....wow. In his third game in the NHL, he did THAT?! If you haven't seen it:

I imagine that the Rangers are going to want a bit of come-up-'ns in the rematch back in New York for that. Nevertheless, that goal dropped my jaw. The NHL is the only sport I watch where I can still be in stunned amazement at some of the things these players can do. Occasionally, the NFL might pull something out, but it's a nightly occurrence in the NHL.
