Also, I have no clue how this rear sight works.

The spring is there to hold the pin until trigger pull, then return it rearward. With no spring, it has nothing to hold the pin back, thus creating a bad random situation.

slam fire.

Not quite as fun as a slam pig.

Yeah, well, I took my Sig out of the box it was shipped in. Had to use a knife and everything.

Really, you can't go wrong with an EOTech. I would like to get one for my AK.

I was reading on sigarms556.com and one guy mentioned that he used and recommended this one - http://www.mylucidgear.com/reddot.php . I guess it comes with an attachable 2x magnifier which is cool. Anyone have experience with Lucid?

Here's a review of it - http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum...-Red-Dot-Sight

I like the look of the EOTechs better, but this is half the price.

Haven't heard of Lucid before so I can't really give an opinion. I can however recommend Aimpoint. I have a CompM2 that survived my nephews 1st tour in Iraq and is a great piece. It works great on a AR but on my AK it sits too high.

I'll be getting a Trijicon for my Sig, me thinks.

The reviews are extremely positive. And for what you'd pay for just an Eotech red dot, you can get this AND a 3x scope.

I think I might pull the trigger on this very soon.

EDIT: Trigger pulled. $424 for both of them.

what kind of sig?

To the others, I like the aim point red dot to most for any type of CQB weapon. And if sighted properly you would be surprised at the accuracy even up to the 300 meter range. The trijicon ACOG is a very nice piece of equipment too, mid to longer ranged magnified sight.

Sig 556, it's in the thread.
