CD burning problem. Need help, please.
I have checked out a book on CD from the library (brand new). I've been listening to it mostly in the car. I've listened to 11 of the 17 CDs already and it's due to be returned. For my upcoming trip I need to burn the remaining 6 before returning them. I have uploaded a couple of them and it goes through the ripping process correctly. When I listen to parts of these, there are some moments when the recording stutters. Here's how I can best illustrate this:
On original CD- "Nick heard footsteps coming from across the darkness of the abandoned casino. A heavy limping man in squeeky shoes." On PC- "Nick heard footsteps coming fr-fr-from across th-th-the darkness of th-th-the abandoned casino. A heavy limping-ping-ping-ping m-m-m-man in squeeky-ky-ky shoes." Is this some encription in the original CD? Otherwise, what am I doing wrong? Is there a way around it? BTW, I've tried this with Windows Media Player and Real Player. |

The CD is from the library, meaning its probably been used and abused over 100 times. I doubt you will get a good copy of it.

Could it be some setting in my Real Player or Windows Media player need adjusted?

Hey Saul. I edited my thread so others won't have the "abused CD" response. BTW, if it was due to the CDs being abused, this problem would show up listening directly to the CDs as well. But it does not.

Does it stutter in the car? If it does, you know it's not the Media Player or Real Player. What kind of software do you use to burn the CDs?
