We'd score more runs if the auto outs were clustered together at the bottom of the lineup instead of spaced out every other hitter.

You're right. A lot of our guys ARE hitting. The problem is Hosmer and Moose ALWAYS come up at the worst times.

The team is not hitting for power or extra base hits that is the problem beside Moose and Hos hitting .200 or so.

Cant rely on 13 singles to win a game 5-2

Moose and Hosmer have been horrible this year. Losing games in the 8th and 9th inning sucks a big fat one. This team is so frustrating.

This. BA don't mean shit if all you're doing is hitting singles and stranding base runners.

I think extra base hits are fine. We're 7th in doubles in the AL which is middle of the pack and 4th in triples. Obviously home runs are not good, but we're very bad at taking walks. Only Minnesota is worse in the entire major leagues. There are plenty of walks KC could be taking but they are just so aggressive at the plate they don't take enough pitches to put them in position to take a walk IMO.

No power and mediocre OBP? We've never seen this before from KC.

Bowser 04-20-2013 03:48 PM

This is the team Dayton wanted. We finally have fantastic starting pitching, and a bunch of hitters that have doubles potential.

You will never win anything in the American League without at least one legit power guy in your lineup, and you could probably argue that you would need two. This team doesn't have anyone that's hitting home runs past the 20's, much less the 30's.

You're a tool...... Are done name-calling now?

This is the team all the baseball traditionalists want

Baseball 101 ... pitching and defense

You never pull your closer ... blah,blah,blah ... douche,douche ... etc,etc

True, but it's not a power league anymore either. San Fran won the WS in 12 and ranked dead LAST in HR's.

Yeah, uh, no.

SF was 6th in runs scored, 7th in doubles, and 1st in triples. "Power" doesn't have to be the long ball, but it sure doesn't hurt.

It's a power league.
